Our own house portrait

We are working on a mixed media piece that will be a portrait of our own little house in the woods. I used thin wood as my backing with muslin to cover it. I’m framing it with poplar branches and using oak twigs for the little trees to make the woods. The pieces are cut out of old clothes and we are using acorn tops and other treasures to make the paths. I want little bunnies to be dotted throughout the woods, but we’re not sure if they will be made out of wood or fabric yet. Riona has had so much fun getting everything just right to represent our house deep in the wild wild woods.
