Salt Dough Meerkats

Unpainted salt dough meerkats

We’re doing a school project this week on animals. Riona chose meerkats to make and build a diorama for. We used this salt dough recipe (although I added a little oil to help it along). We are down to three little meerkats since Bonnie the dog ate two of them. Apparently life as a salt dough meerkat is just as fraught with danger as the real life ones out in the Kalahari. The remaining meerkats don’t seem to be too upset over it though. “Carpe Diem!” they cry as they go boating over the desert.
